"Art has been with me since early childhood. I was brought up in an environment where art was part of our way of life, our savoir vivre (link my family). France and England provided my education, while museums and private art collections were my school. I inherited from my parents their love of Nature, cultivating from a young age a sensitivity and pleasure towards the contemplation of country life scenes and the magic universe of flora and fauna, which provide my nourishment to later express in my paintings a spiritual understanding of existence, made out of light and simplicity, of sheer joy of life and the perception of the wonderful gift of Creation."

"My working method consists in going outdoors to take notes. I pick my subject with utter care, after a long observation of all elements, shapes, attitudes, colours and places. At the same time, I research in books and other specialized publications for accurate biological, botanical and geographical information so that my paintings may reflect a summary of my impressions of the place, flower or animal in their specific habitat. Each painting demands quite some time, since every element in it is the result of meticulous meditation, in search of the perfect balance and harmony between knowledge and feeling.
